  1. “Everytime” by Images In Vogue for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

    • Yes! Please! I love Images In Vogue. Glad that they’re still playing a few shows too. “Strangers In Love” is my favorite song of theirs. Add that to the requests list : – )

  2. I loved the last three songs of the second hour tonight, Matt!

  3. Hour 2 was the clear winner tonight for me. The other hours weren’t slouches, but so many great cuts in Hour 2. And don’t think I’d ever head that Gitane Demone song before. Great stuff.

Thanks for a great show. Have a good one.

  4. Hey Matt

Love it! The Mission and Chameleons UK on the same episode! Can’t wait to see their show in a couple of weeks… going to be AWESOME!!

Trying to pick a track from Twist of Shadows (Xymox) to request on here – but they are all so damn good it is actually kind of tough. Oh well – here goes….

    In a City // Xymox (Clan of…)

    Cheers!

  5. Hi, Matt! That was a great show from start to finish. I’ve got to say that my favorite hour was the first; back-to-back The The and Depeche Mode was downright awesome to hear. I’d also love to hear Kidney Bingos by Wire during an upcoming installment. Thank you! :D

  6. Hi Matt – killer show, as always. I would like to request one of the following for an upcoming show:
The Cure – Speak My Language
    Depeche Mode – One Caress
Sisters of Mercy – Good Things
    Thank you!

  7. Sean Whitaker

Thx Matt !! I saw the Deja Vu Tour with The Mission and The Chameleons and Theatre of Hate this past Saturday in ATL. First time seeing The Mission and never thought I would see The Chameleons a second time in my life. Great show all around. No frills, just music !! I am excited to see The Cult reserect the songs that made us love them into a live show.

Keep up the good work Matt !! Play what you like. I’ve been making a playlist of the weekly show since 2019 and have learned a lot about the bands I love and those I never focused on. Now passing on to my daughter of 16 who has the same passion for these bands. We appreciate the musical knowledge.

    Thank You !!

    • Sean Whitaker

Holly Crap !! I was just going thru the show and you played Parade in Paris !! Thank you for honoring this request made a while back. They were a great Tampa, FL band I would see open often for other great bands at Masquerade, Visage, and other venues between.

      Thank You Again !!

    • Ah, yes fun times at the Mission show this weekend! Still recovering…Y’all will not be disappointed! Get some merch as it is reasonably priced.

  8. I missed it last night, but that sounded like one hell of a set list. I’ll have to catch it later this week.

  9. another great show – thanks for playing the Depth Charge request, was stoked when I heard it come on!

Wire got me thinking about Big Black’s cover of Heartbeat – so that is my suggestion for a future episode!

Keep doin’ what you do Matt, we appreciate it!

  10. Awesome show yet again! Thanks for the Bunnymen and The The tracks. Hour 1 was just about perfect but hours 2 and 3 gave it a run for the money. The close out to hour 2 was sweet, haven’t heard Depth Charge in ages, that was cool. Nice call on that one from Evan. Really excited for the Mission/Chameleons/Theatre of Hate trifecta in a couple of weeks.

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  11. Thank you for the weekly dose of dark wave. You provide the soundtrack to my weekly commutes. I love hearing the mix of old favorites and new to my ears artists/songs.
Could you please play – “April Skies” (Darklands version) by The Jesus and Mary Chain

  12. Psychedelic Furs – Alice’s House

  13. Shiny Gnomes “Lazing At Desert Inn” (Some Funny Nightmares). Thanks a lot!

  14. Great DW heading into the fall season!

    Here are some requests –

    Scratch Acid – Owner’s Lament
and perhaps anything from Sad Lovers & Giants

    Thanks!

  15. Absolutely loved your Love and Rockets choice for the evening. Could we hear:

    Belfegore- All That I Wanted

    That’ns a proper banger.

  16. Awesome show as always! The high light of my weekend! Would you play Daniel Ash – Get Out Of Control? Thank you and have a great week!

  17. Hi Matt and staff,

I’d like to request Clan of Xymox – Strangers.

    Thank you.

  18. Church- reptile

Think I put in reply prior

  19. Holy moley what a set list!!! The end of hour 1 rocked my socks off – pretty sure I requested those so a huge thank you for taking our requests into account!! And the Wire and Swamp thing wowza really lived this weeks installment. Ok enough gushing – some possible suggestions for next time:

    Lush – Desire Lines
    Curve – Coast is Clear
My Bloody Valentine – To Here Knows When

    Thanks again as always!!!! 。◕‿◕。

  20. I guess you know me as your resident Love & Rockets fan LOL! Always love hearing them on this program as it’s the one program on 1st Wave that I can really rely on for a proper variety of music. I’ve got no requests to offer up, simply cheers on another great episode! I look forward to next weekend. Have a good one!

  21. The Wipers :
    Better Off Dead
    Nothing Left To Lose
    Image Of Man

  22. Thank you so much for playing Gitane Demone’s “Lullaby for a Troubled Man.” The memorial service for Chris was actually held yesterday. Perfect timing. I had a good cry when it played. Thank you.

I’d love to hear “Lose This Gravity” off her “Am I Wrong?” album sometime. It’s my favorite song of hers. Also, “Rock and Roll Child” off of her Stars of Trash CD is really lovely. She wrote it about the late Rozz Williams.

As a side note, there was a live 2-disc CD released a few years back from their Dream Home Heartache tour called On The Alter, In The Heart. It is the best live recording I’ve heard of anything in decades. The opening Dream Home Heartache live track is perfection if you enjoy their work.

    Thank you again, Matt.

  23. Good episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    Bauhaus, “Third Uncle”

  24. Matt this weeks show was so amazing thank you so much for playing Wasteland
I’m so excited and can’t wait to go see them and the Chameleons next week in AZ
For a future could you play A person isn’t safe anywhere these days by The Chameleons
    Thanks so much!

  25. Clearly hour 3 Matt

  26. Legendary Pink Dots
    “This Is The Museum”

    Human Hapiness
    Human Hapiness
    Human Hapiness…

  27. Laszlo Kakash

I missed the show last week and I’ve been searching the app to stream the last episodes, but I can’t find anything. How is this done?

  28. Joseph DeCuire

It definitely warmed my heart that you played The Misfits. That definitely took me by surprise. If you have it, maybe you can play something from Samhain. Like Mother of Mercy.

  29. I will be at said Death Cult show in LA… looking forward to it!

  30. Thank you for playing Parade in Paris. What a joy to hear them on the air!
    Namaste Dark Wave guru
