  1. skinny puppy – worlock next week?

  2. “Hall of Mirrors” by Kraftwerk for (the next after next) Sunday’s show

  3. Hi, Matt! That was an awesome show; I loved the selections from Peter Murphy, The Cure, and The Mission. Great ones from Depeche Mode and The Cult as well. Additionally, it would be wonderful to hear any track from Kate Bush’s The Dreaming in a future show. Thank you for these great playlists – we love them! <3

  4. Thanks for the Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, Lesson Seven, and the great cuts from The Church, Concrete Blonde, The Cure, and Gun Club. I can’t pick a single hour. It was all solid.

Thanks for the great show. Will be enjoying it all week. Have a good one.

  5. Excellent episode tonight! I loved the first hour the best tonight. Goodnight!

  6. Thank you for playing my favorite Comsat Angels track. And for great tracks from Depeche Mode, Moev, The Church, Peter Murphy, and This Mortal Coil.

  7. Another great show, thank you for shining the darkness on your listeners. I’d like to request The Last Day of Summer by The Cure.

  8. Great show. I think one of the more industrial shows in my recent memory. I’ll be listening to the playlist today! KMFDM Ultra is has been on my playlist since Nihil came out in 1995. Keep up the good work!

Next week: Police state by Birmingham 6

  9. What a great show! If I wasn’t so tired, I would’ve stayed up for the whole program. You got me hooked on that Skeletal Family track and the one from Rose of Avalanche! Great selections! I immediately added those to my Spotify after listening. And kudos on opening and closing with Daniel Ash. I’ll be listening back to this episode for sure over the next week! Always a pleasure spending Sunday nights with you Matt!

  10. Great show, some of the best radio I’ve heard! You have a knack for finding the best songs on so many LPs. I flipped out when you played the Comsats’ “Dark Parade”. Fun fact about that album – the drums were recorded next to an empty elevator shaft in an empty factory with microphones on 6 adjacent floors for ambience, and certainly sounds like it. Loved the cuts by the Church (from their strung out years), Executive Slacks, Concrete Blonde and was floored by the Public Image song on the way out. Peace!

  11. Great show this week would love to hear Victory Parade by The Snake Corps

  12. Every hour was fantastic! Great call with the Buckley cover.

    Here are some requests –

    For Against – Daylight
and perhaps something from Throwing Muses

    Thanks!

  13. May I ask for “Jetstream” by Pacific (Inference)? Hm…maybe I should rather go for some rarely heard songs by Joy Division, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Siouxsie & The Banshees, The Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Dead Can Dance, Bauhaus, Fields of the Nephilim, New Order, Echo & the Bunnymen or even…Love and Rockets.

  14. UK Decay – Jerusalem Over

  15. Bauhaus, Love and Rockets, Tones on Tail, AND Peter Murphy !!!! Wow !

  16. Hey Matt really solid playlist this week!!!
Feeling a bit nostalgic this week – some possible suggestions for next time:

    Yaz – Only You
Depeche Mode – Dressed in Black
The Cure – All Cats are Grey

    Thanks again as always!!!! 。◕‿◕。

  17. Check this out- the AC system is down at the local auditorium so shows are being diverted to the civic center…instead of a ticket costing over a hundred bucks, we will see Nick Cave tomorrow on a basketball court for cheap…I’ll take that tradeoff.

  18. So last night I was listening and walking the dog, and I heard LA Rain. I thought it was some Lou Reed song I had missed and I thought “Wow, this is awesome”. I didn’t know his guitar sounded so Love and Rockets. So I looked it up today, and discovered that in fact it was not Lou Reed. And had to tell my friend that I had earlier raved to about this great Lou Reed song that instead if she wanted to hear a great song that sounded like Lou Reed fronting Love and Rockets, she should check out LA Rain by Rose of Avalanche.

  19. Ha Ha Ha – Visiting a house.

  20. Jeff Buckley, I was so blown away to hear this on your show, I cried
    Never Stop Matt

  21. Revenge was a such a great choice!!

  22. Killer show Matt. All three hours were perfect, finely balanced, but it’s hour 2 for me with Felt, The Sound and Comsat Angels. Great stuff.

Seeing Slowdive in San Francisco in a couple of weeks, can’t wait. I’m hoping you can pull up a b-side off the Holding Our Breath e.p. that they will almost assuredly not play on this tour but is one of my all time faves of theirs – “Albatross.” They closed a show in the encore at the Warfield way back on the original reunion tour with that one and it was stunning.

Have a great week Matt, cheers!

  23. How about these for a future show?

    The Cure – 2 Late
Iron Curtain – Love Can Never Die
    Oppenheimer Analysis – Cold War
New Order – Age of Consent
    Catherine Wheel – Satellite
    Slowdive – She Calls

  24. Thanks for the New Order play and surprise take of Let’s Go. I actually enjoyed hour 2 the most even with my request in hour 3. I went to high school with JB. Enteresting fellow…RIP

  25. I can never get enough Foetus! Thanks for that Matt!

  26. Colorful episode.

    This week’s Darkness Award:
    Peter Murphy, “Indigo Eyes”

“A black tree blocks his way”

  27. Please play
